A hollow bottom tray made of Brazilian Redwood, a unique and beautiful hardwood that will resist denting while you roll the dice!
It has a ranking of 3190lbf on the Janka hardness scale, which goes up to 4000lbf. The Janka hardness test measures the amount of force required to embed a 0.444 inch (11.28mm) diameter steel ball into a piece of wood to the depth of half the ball's diameter. The results are measured with various units, in the United States the scores are represented in pounds-force(lbf). Woods with a low ranking on the hardness scale are more prone to dents and dings, but this will be resistant to daily wear and tear!
Why Brazilian Redwood? Also known as Massaranduba, this exotic imported wood is incredibly dense and highly resistant to insects, rot, and even fire. Its beautiful, distinctive, deep red color can lend an exotic and elegant touch to your home! Because of this wood's resistance to insects, rot, and damage it is often used in flooring or decking so you'll be sure that this wood will withstand daily use!
This dice tray is hollowed out slightly on both sides which creates a nice hollow sound when you roll.
