This gorgeous galaxy triptych (painting split into three sections) is a gorgeous addition to a themed room or your gallery wall. No specific planets or moons are represented, but in the paintings you'll find two waning moons; a small red planet; and another red planet with a smaller blue planet.
The galaxy themes paintings I do all reflect one another, and with these I recreated a triptych I made for my home with these smaller canvases and frames. These are the thin canvases so the frames had to be made with a groove on each side of the frame, the canvas was placed inside the frame before nailing the frame together so they are one piece, there is no removing the canvas without damaging the frame.
Since these are handmade there are some human errors with the frames, such as the nails on one corner of one frame being sticking slightly out--not enough to notice unless you're looking for it. Another frame is also slightly crooked, it's not perfectly squared so one corner sits further off the wall than the others.
Materials for the canvases: Acrylic, joint compound for texture, mod podge, gold leaf, semi-gloss finish
Materials for the frames: Hemlock, honey colored stain, polyurethane
The dimensions are roughly:
